Comparison of weather temperature and rainfall to Product D
Summary:
Product D experienced varying sales across the analysed period. The total sales units peaked in August 21/08/2017 (398 units) and December 19/12/2016 with (346 units).Store sales were generally higher than web sales. A big change in price of 36.10% suggests that the product is seasonal, with peak sales in the summer. However, it does not indicate any dependence on temperature or rain fall. The average sell price for Product D was generally stable, especially for web sales, which frequently hit £100. Store average sell prices varied slightly but stayed close to £100. Availability of product maintain on 100% all time
Price differences
The negative Web Sales Units (-3) and negative Web Turnover (-£220) indicate that there were likely returns or cancellations of web orders during this week. The Total Turnover is positive (£1,810) despite the negative Web Turnover. This means that the store’s sales turnover was substantial enough to cover the losses from web sales. The store price (£101.50) that day was 38.5% higher than the web price (£73.33).
Product:
For Product D, I can’t easily pinpoint a specific item, but I’ll try to rule out a range of products.
Bikes, tents, and camping equipment would not be favorable purchases for a rainy summer and cold winter, which saw the peak in sales. I will exclude gaming products, as GAME STORE joined in June 2019. The product cannot be both summer and winter clothing simultaneously. Additionally, considering the price in 2017 and the three previous products, the price is not low.
At this point I would like to have access to Oracle DB – SORLIN / STKMAS or Viper 17 / Viper 28 – “enactorem” ,with this access I would be able to track this item and the entire sales history
